Why do I have to restart my TV every time I use it for it to connect to my wifi?

Mine started doing the same thing. It is only the Onn Roku TVs. The others stay connected with no issues.

  • Hi Carolyn4647,

Thanks for the first post to the Roku Community!

We understand you're having connectivity issues with your Roku TV, and we appreciate the steps you took to resolve the issue.

For this matter, we're glad to let you know that performing a Factory Reset on your Roku TV may resolve the issue you are experiencing.

You can follow the steps below to perform a factory reset from the Roku device settings:

    1. Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
    2. Scroll up or down and select Settings.
    3. Select System
    4. Select Advanced system settings.
    5. Select Factory reset
    6. Select Factory reset everything and follow the on-screen instructions.

You may also use the physical button on your Roku TV. It is located on the back or bottom of your device, and the physical Reset button is either tactile or has a pinhole design that requires a straightened paperclip. It will appear similar to one of the following:

Once you locate the Reset button and your Roku device is powered on, press and hold the button firmly for about 10 seconds. When the factory reset is complete, an indicator light or status LED will blink rapidly on most Roku devices.

After a successful factory reset, your Roku device will restart in the same state as a factory-new device.

    Hi Lisagf,

Welcome, and thank you for posting!

We understand that you're having network issues with your Roku ONN TV. We'd be glad to assist.

    1. Could you tell us if you're seeing any error messages?
    2. Did the issue happen after an update on your Roku TV?
    3. What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

To check for improvements, we recommend connecting your TV to an alternative network, such as a mobile hotspot.

I have this same issue with my Phillips Roku TV. I've had my TV for 3 years and the same internet connection for 2 years. It's annoying. I've noticed it happens when the TV has been off for a bit. Sometimes I have to restart my system a second time for it to connect.
