Hotel and Dorm Connectivity
Number four when connecting to hotel and dorm connect never works. Where am I supposed to launch a browser and what browser? Where am I supposed to insert my name in the room number? Where am I supposed to get Wi-Fi from? If this doesn’t work never works if I connect it says it’s connected and doesn’t let me open my apps otherwise I’m not connected help me, please.
after connecting to wifi my roku won’t launch a browser to finish connecting to wifi
I live in a college dorm and I have taken all the necessary steps to connect the roku to the wifi. I have registered the roku and activated it. Unplugged and plugged the device back in, and restarted the whole thing, however when I get to the step where it says to launch a browser, none of my devices will launch said browser. What do I do?
WiFi disconnecting after the latest update
Model: 55R4A5R Hardware ID: G847X Software Version: 15.0.4 Build 5526-ET GC Version: 14.7.16 Issue ID: UT-387-372 Our TV updated to 15.0.4 Built 5526 last night (Sept. 25, around 9pm) and since then has been dropping its WiFi connection. This occurs on any app playing any content, and I've been able to observe it while just sitting in the Settings menu watching the WiFi connection status. The drop off seems randomly timed, but seems to occur within minutes of opening any streaming app. After dropping the WiFi connection, it will reconnect on its own 2-3 minutes later. Router has been restarted, TV has been restarted as well as left unplugged for 10 minutes then restarted. Connection quality (when it's connected) is Excellent. Only device in the house affected, and neither the TV nor the router have moved in the ~2 years that we've had the TV.Performance differences between Roku TVs and Roku players
I’ve been using a Roku TV in one room and a Roku Streaming Stick+ in another, and I feel like the performance isn’t exactly the same. The player seems a bit smoother with certain apps, while the TV feels slower on startup. Has anyone else noticed differences between Roku TVs and Roku players when it comes to speed, updates, or app compatibility? Curious if it’s just me or a common thing.
TCL Roku TV connectivity issue
So I take it there was never a resolution for this? My same model can’t make it through a day. The only workaround that’s been a saving grace is having to do a network setting reset as opposed to the full factory reset. Per other responses, when the TV completely stops recognizing any of the 7 available network options, it’s not a router issue. It’s the TV. And TCL knows this.
