Vudu launching by itself

This step is crucial when performing the troubleshooting. If you haven't tried the suggested order (remove > restart > re-install), we suggest giving it a shot once again.

Would you mind checking the remote for us if you have a Vudu shortcut button, on it?

Use a safety pin and press the little reset button on your roku :).

Try pointing the remote at the camera of your cellphone without pressing a key yourself, do you see flashes? It means the remote is constantly sending the Vudu command, it isn't the fault of the Roku itself so stop resetting it. You need a new remote.

Even if your roku remote doesn't have a vudu key, the roku will respond to a command that would change it to vudu app, and if you have another devices remote that uses similar IR code it could interfere with each  other. I have 5 hdmi switch whose remote commands are the same as my tcl roku tv, hdmi 1 on the switch trips the option * command on the tv, where hdmi 5 is the same as mute on the tv. So it might just be then tv volume or mute that initiates the vudu command? Anythings possible.

Have you tried removing the channel and then trying to to perform a factory reset on the Roku device to see if you are still experiencing the issue?

On recently upgraded roku's bought at Walmart there is an advertisement in the menu list to the left on the home page, usually where the Fandango Now is on non-walmart bought rokus. Its not like the true vudu app there is no library of titles you might have bought, there is rows of titles you can buy and rent, an advertisement. You could have some how launched that?
