Vacationing To Different Location
Hi Gang I'll be visiting my sister in Nevada for a while who currently uses Cable TV. Although she does have Internet thru her cable, I suppose there's no way for me to bring an Ultra and connect it...
You won't cause any issues on her network just by connecting to her WiFi. Ethernet is certainly simpler, as it just works when you connect the cable.
That picture shows the ports on the back of the cable modem. Notice there are four network jacks. The two on top are phone jacks, in case she gets landline phone service from them (like I do with Comcast). So only connect to one of the four network jacks that are within the yellow line.
