Turn down 4K definition to lower HDMI connection

Can anyone tell me how to go to settings and turn my 4K Roku firestick connection to a lower one. My data is rapidly diminishing!!

    Hi Ruthanne, 

    Welcome to the Roku Community. 

    Your Roku streaming player can be configured to always detect the best resolution and frame rate of your TV, or you can choose to manually select the resolution and frame rate. Follow the steps below to manually change your display type setting.

    • Press the home button on Roku remote on your Roku remote
    • Scroll and select Settings
    • Select Display type
    • Select one of the available display types and press OK button on Roku remote on your remote
