My Roku suddenly stopped working and will not connect to the internet. I’ve restarted it, restarted the router, and done a Roku factory reset and it still will not work. Is there any other guidance?

If you are getting an error code or message, refer to this link for common Roku error codes and their recommended actions: How to connect your Roku device to the internet using Wi-Fi or Ethernet
Furthermore, if the affected device is either a Roku Express or Roku Premiere, please note that they are only compatible with wireless b/g/n networks on the 2.4 GHz spectrum. Ensure that your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for the device to connect to. You can check your device model by navigating to Settings > System > About.
You can also try configuring your router and use wireless channels 1, 6, or 11 which are the preferred channels in North America. Each time you change the wireless channel, you will likely need to apply/save changes before you are prompted to restart the router.
Let us know how it goes.
All the best,
Kariza

Thank you for getting back to me! Really appreciate it! To fix it I had to go to my Cox wifi app and change my network from g/n to b/g/n! All fixed.

Hi there,
I’m having the same issue as other people. When I do a factory reset, it works temporarily. However, the next time I go to turn the TV back on there is no more internet.
Can you please assist? Thank you.

I have tried everything I can not get my roku to connect to my Hotspot on any phone or tablet. It will scan and say no networks found. I use my Hotspot and it works on everything else.

wow, how horrible is Roku? I didn't know it, but wow this is a horrible product. Please let everyone you know understand that it's a one use product, no customer support, and will be useless in a few months. We need a good version of Roku, something that has customer support and is lasting... apparently we are seriously not getting that from Roku.

I'd be delighted to take a closer look to see how we can assist. Do you receive an error code or message when connecting to the network? Did you try to connect the device to your home network or to the router?
