Roku TV USB Firmware Update - "Can't install older software"

TV model: Onn 50" Roku TV 100007147
Hardware ID: 7819X

I'm trying to repair this TV after it quit displaying and image and got it to power on again after replacing the main board. The replacement board is identical but has firmware for a different TV model installed on it. The image is stretched with vertical lines which I believe is due to the incorrect firmware. The TV hardware appears fine but the current firmware is for a 70" model, which makes sense as to why the image is stretched out. I've loaded the correct update file from tvupdate.roku.com but am getting a message that says "Can't install older software version" "Your TV is running more up-to-date software. Installing older software is not allowed. Download a new file and try again."

There is no error code. It just seems like the firmware version on the replacement board is newer than what's offered on the tvupdate site. I've seen a couple of other threads about this message but no useful information. What I'm looking for is a way to force install the firmware from USB or a newer firmware file that will install correctly. I'm very hopeful that the correct firmware would get the TV working correctly and keep it out of the landfill.

The version available for download always seems to lag the one available via the TV.  I don't know of a way to force an update.  I imagine that if it's possible Roku wouldn't want it to become public, so you may just have to wait for the available version to catch up.  I'd be a little surprised if it lets you install firmware for a different model, but I can see how it's worth a try.

Yeah no response from Roku is about what I expected. I ended up finding a main board with the correct firmware.
