Roku stick Stuck on Remote Pairing screen

I’ve tried to apply each of the communities sage advice, yet am unable to get past the pairing screen.  It’s like it freezes there and I can’t get any further.  I’ve unplugged and replugged; I’ve taken the batteries out; I’ve pressed the reset button on the stick; I’ve changed the HDMI slot; I’ve changed the USB (power) slot; I’ve almost changed my mind on using the brand new Roku Streaming stick at all.  I will admit defeat unless some Roku genius out there helps me at this point.  Signed, not a Luddite!

This is where I’m stuck.

    Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

    Let's set the Roku device into pairing mode. When the green light starts blinking on your Roku remote, can you please unplug and then replug the TV's power cord? This will set it to pairing mode.

    Thanks for reporting here, BassoII!

    It seems like you're having issues pairing the remote to your Roku Streaming Stick.

    Could you share the model number of the Roku Streaming Stick you have to help us identify the problem?

    In the meantime, can you please try unplugging the device and then plugging it again, but this time, after doing the steps, press and hold the Home and Back buttons of the remote for a full 20 seconds and see if that pairs the remote.

    Let us know if that works!

        Have you also thought about connecting the Roku Streaming Stick to a different TV and trying to pair the remote from there?

        Also, are there any lights on the remote when you press the Home and Back buttons together for approximately 5 seconds?
