Voice Search Not Working

The voise search, or any voice function suddenly stopped working.

I already tried recommended troubleshooting, remote and player reset, battery change etc.

Is there a way to check microphone of remote if it's working like input level indicator just to make sure it's not the hardware? Most computers have it.

It's just frustrating. I don't wanna buy a new remote because it's still working and wanted to make sure that it's hardware related before I buy a new one.
