I have what I believe is the second edition voice remote. And yes I have tried resetting by holding the home and back button for 20 seconds. I have tried resetting at least 10 times now. Still the voice function does not work. Like I said the manual function no issues... I'm just sorry that I spent the extra money for this at this point
Was purchased from Walmart about a month and a half ago.
Mine is doing thw same thing. I have a love hate relationship with this Voice remote pro 2. The hands free voice command sucks. It stopped working completely after ONE WEEK of ownership! And thw manual one only works every once in a while. This thing needs work badly.

In the meantime, you may install the Roku mobile app as an alternative to your physical remote. Not only can you launch channels, navigate the Roku interface, and search and issue commands with your voice, but you can also share personal photos and videos on your TV, listen privately with your headphones, and more.
