Roku remote pro (2nd edition) not voice command not working
Recently bought the Roku voice remote pro this is the one that has the little switch on the side where you can turn the voice on or off and is also rechargeable. Problem is the voice feature of this remote has completely stopped working this after working for several weeks after I first bought it. I've read several solutions presented here in the community and have tried all turning off the TV, holding down the buttons to reset the remote pairing remote etc... None of these solutions have worked. The remote itself works as it should manually. No problems there. Voice just will not work after I've done a reset a re-pairing It might work once. Then ask for time or channel and nothing when I hold down the mic button I get a little thing on the bottom of the TV that says press and hold the button while you speak even though I'm doing that.3.1KViews1like18CommentsVoice button not working on remote
Hello, there seems to be an issue with my roku remote. The device is brand new and i set it up today. It's the roky 4k streaming stick + remote. It came with the voice remote. My issue is with the voice option on the voice remote. When i press on the voice button, the screen exits and goes to the "Streaming Channels" option in the home page. Nothing else happens after that. I contacted support but they kept repeating the same useless info for 2 hours. The remotd is working fine with all the other buttons. It's only the voice command button that is not working. A single press or a long press result in the same thing : whatever app i'm on closes and i' taken to the "Streaming channels" option. I had bad experience with RC917 not holding a charge. Well, The RCB1r holds its charge very well. However, I am sorry to say problems have developed with my new RCB1r within a week. The red light is flashing on the remote, even when charged to 100 percent. When it was charged at 97 percent, red light on remote also flashed. I also get a message that I have to pair the remote multiple times a day. Multiple times a show. I took pictures of the screen with the error message, and included them with ticket 9676055. I have wiped the base unit while wiping the RCB1r, set it all back up and still have to pair the remote to the base unit repeatedly. With the base unit plugged in or unplugged from power, the remote still flashes. A friend of mine told me he may buy me a new base unit and see if the problem persists. (Or I may toss the pile and start with another provider) Meanwhile, can you do something to help? I called tech support and the person I spoke to was not kind or nice or helpful.
