I'm actually having trouble with 2 different Roku devices.
#1 is a Roku 3, serial number 6325A316851 attached to a Sony smart tv KDL-55W9004. After double checking, the Roku is (or at least has been) a wireless connection to the network.
We have been using this set up for a number of years, no changes, usually daily. Did not turn it on for a week or two and when we did, all we could get was the bouncing logo. I have unplugged everything, one at a time and waited then turned them back on. I used the reset button on the Roku. I plugged the power supply into a different house circuit. I cursed at it. Nothing changed. I have noted that the light on the unit is slow flashing except right after power is restored (steady for several seconds). I can get to a number of streaming services through the television software and they work just fine. Nothing I do nor buttons I push will produce any picture other than the bouncing logo. Interestingly enough, the volume control and mute buttons on the Roku remote still work on the tv. The power button does not, nor do I see any effect from any other button. That remote is an upgrade and has been working fine since new (year, 2, 3? I don't remember). I dug out the old remote and got the same results.
The second setup is a tiny Roku 3920X with a Panasonic model TC-50A9530U
I thought for a bit it was doing the same thing, after a software update (first time it has been turned on in months). But the Roku menu did appear finally. But nothing will play. Get the same message about not connected to the network. Went to the settings and redid the connection and got a message saying it was connected to the internet, signal strong. Back to clicking an app and all I get is not connected to the network. This TV also plays streaming apps (Amazon, Hulu, Utube, etc) just fine with the wireless connection. I don't really know recent history (works or how well it works with Roku) with this setup. I only use it when I cannot use the other.
