Resetting the Roku 3820X2 Streaming Stick Loses Ethernet connection

This stick is not powered through the HDMI connector but rather with a USB charger. The charger is plugged into an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), so it always has AC power. Nevertheless, if I don't use the system for a week or so, the stick loses it's Ethernet connection and it is necessary to press the reset button on the stick. This is extremely inconvenient, as the stick is not easily accessible in my rack. Two Qs: is this normal? And which models of streaming sticks don't have this issue?

    You can't just do a "Check connection" from the Network settings or a "System restart" to restore the connection?

    I wouldn't say it's normal, but it doesn't seem unusual for Roku devices to lose their connection.  I've found that Roku devices are the most stable if I set up a DHCP reservation in my router so the IP address given to the Roku device doesn't change and don't use "Auto" as the Wi-Fi channel - pick a channel and stick with it until there's an obvious problem that might necessitate trying a different one.
