Remove 'On Now" row from home screen?

I'm assuming that a recent update created this row of channels under the banner "On Now" on the top of my home page. I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove it. It does not appear in the settings nor do I see anything on the app which allows me to deselect it.

Am I blind or is Roku shoving something I do not want and will never use on my home screen regardless of whether I want it there or not? Has anyone been able to remove this or at the very least move it out of the way?

    Any updated from Roku to remove the Home screen "On Now" bar.

      Attention Roku employees RokuAustin, RokuERey, and any other moderators:

      I hope you are relaying all of this to the appropriate planners and programmers.  There is a groundswell against these home page changes.  MAKE THEM OPTIONAL.

    The "On Now" is gone! yahoooooooooo...

    It has been gone for 2 days now.

      Mine is still there and in the way. Tried doing a check for updates. It didn't help. 

      It's an eyesore.

      It's been gone for 3 days now.  Using Roku TCL TV.

        It's still on mine. Some days it's called previously watched and displays expected shows based on that title. Some days it still says 'On Now' with all the **bleep** I'm not going to watch.  I have no idea what's going on with it. My roku says it has the latest software.

    Glad the option to remove this has been provided.

    (I was surprised to find "On Now" in the home screen.  Apparently it has been there for months?  This shows how often we use the Roku ultra, vs the various TVs' built-in streaming systems.  One of the streaming channels does not have an App on the Samsung TV.  So I turned-on its Roku...)

    turn it off.  As long as you're fully updated, it's in settings to hide that row.
