Insignia Roku TV won't Detect any Wi-Fi network

I have a 32" Insignia Roku for over a year and have had no issues. All of a sudden my Wifi disconnected. My TV won't recognize ANY wifi networks when I try scanning. I tried restarting my TV, router, and even doing a factory reset.

My wifi network band have both 2.4 GHZ and 5.0 GHZ.

All other devices in the household are connected just fine, AND recognizing other networks as well. I'm not sure what the issue is but this is SO frustrating. I've tried everything and been on hold for over an hour with Roku /: please help

I have a 24" Insignia RokuTV and mine flashes the red LED when turning it on as well. (normal behavior).  Only time it didn't flash red would be when in Fast Start Mode (but I disabled that feature due to network connection loss issues).  I placed it a guest room because the overall  performance is so slow now.

As for the wifi modules, once you find the model numbers on back of TV, you can just find the wifi modules online or on Ebay. (most of the replacement parts I buy for my electronics are from Ebay or independent vendors online.)

There is another approach you can take if you do not want to replace the module.  You could place a Roku device into one of the HDMI ports.  This would fix the wifi issue for your streaming. (you would use the Roku device for all your streaming needs rather than the TV's integrated Roku OS).  You would then continue to use the RokuTV OS only when needing to watch OTA/Antenna channels and other HDMI peripherals.

Some drawbacks.  Need to keep 2 remotes around to switch between the device and the RokuTV.  Without wifi on the RokuTV, would not be able to update the RokuTV OS and may have some issues with the Antenna/OTA guide providing program information.

My personal preference is a separate Roku device connected to a TV.  Better performance for my needs and much easier to swap in a replacement device than deal with a TV brick when something like this happens.

I know the TCL TVs have had issues with the Wi-Fi hardware, but I don't know about Insignia.  Does it show something like "hardware missing" or all zeros for the Wi-Fi MAC address under Settings->Network->About?

      No, nothing like hardware missing

And MAC address has correct numbers (not all zeros)

When you say "doesn't recognize any wifi networks", does that mean you can not "see" any networks coming up at all, or that it won't connect to any of them?

Have you tried connecting to a mobile hotspot if available to you?

When you go to Settings/Network/About and Settings/System/About, do you see any information next to the MAC addresses or are they all zeros.

What is the model number of the router you are using (as well as ISP/internet service provider).

I would also be wary of any purported Roku phone support (especially if you found the number online). Roku support is free so if whoever you are speaking to starts asking for money, you can be assured you are not speaking to Roku.

No network is coming up at all

It just keeps scanning at the first attempt

When you click on scan again, it abruptly scan and stop and continues like that

The MAC address are not all zeros

      It has alphanumeric digits

I tried using my phone network and hotspot, so I don't think it's an issue with the router. Also because all other devices could recognize network and connect to them. My Roku TV doesn't see any network not to mention of connecting to any.

If the RokuTV can not see either the hotspot or your home network (or any neighboring networks), I would begin to suspect an issue or potential failure of the wifi module inside the RokuTV.  (I don't think the smaller Insignia models like the 24" and 32" had an ethernet port included).

You can try unplugging the RokuTV for about an hour or so and see if that helps/resolve issue. (disconnect all peripherals like cable boxes, dvd players, etc from the HDMI and USB ports while allowing it to sit and discharge).

Otherwise, I think replacing the wifi module would be my next step.  (10-20 dollars for the part).  Have to disassemble the back and is pretty much a plug and play part.

Since most of the Insignia RokuTVs are out of warranty by now, can also see if Best Buy may do something for you (discount on new TV) if you do not feel like repairing it yourself or taking it in for repair. (unfortunately, paying for a repair is likely the cost of a new TV of this size with a new warranty).
