    Hi JerryAtrics

    Thank you for the post!

If your Roku device is unable to update after a factory reset, there are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:

    • Check your internet connection: Make sure that your Roku device is connected to the internet and that your internet connection is stable. You can try restarting your router or modem to see if that improves the connection.
    • Check for any software updates on your router: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your router, as an outdated firmware version can sometimes cause connectivity issues.
    • Try a wired connection: If you're using a wireless connection, try using an Ethernet cable to connect your Roku device to your router directly. This can sometimes improve the stability of the connection.
    • Power cycle your Roku device: Unplug your Roku device from the power source and wait for about 30 seconds before plugging it back in. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues or we recommend doing this through the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > Power (If there is no Power submenu, proceed to the next step.) > System restart.

    We hope it helps!

    Warm regards,
    Lianna

    Hi Edehart013,

Thanks for your first post in the Roku Community!

We would be more than happy to look further into this issue but will need more details.

Here are a few questions here to better understand what you're experiencing:

    1. When did this issue first start occurring?
    2. What Roku model device are you using?
    3. Is there a light showing on your device?
    4. How are you powering the device? Is it plugged into the TV USB port, or is it plugged into the wall outlet with the provided cables?
    5. have you tried using another HDMI port on your TV as well as trying your device on another TV to see if you are seeing the same issue?
    6. Does the issue only occur on a specific channel or all channels on your Roku device?
    7. Are you receiving error messages or codes when accessing the channel?
    8. What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far to try to resolve the issue?
    9. What are you seeing on screen? Can you provide a screenshot of the issue you are experiencing?

With more information, we will be able to assist you further.

    Best regards,
    Mary

        HI UncleB01,

        Greetings from the Roku Community!

Thanks for reaching us here. Try to restart your router and reboot your device. Then, try again to see if you are still seeing the same issue.

If the issue persists, try connecting your device to an alternative network, like a mobile hotspot, to see if there are any differences.

Let us know more about this.

        Thanks,

        Rey
