Home screen nearly blank, icons on left side don't work

Started Friday Oct 24.  Pressed home button, goes to "Home" screen. It is nearly blank. There are 5 icons on left side, none work or do anything The * key for options does nothing. One large tile on right side, not clickable. Only way out is to turn power off, then on again and screen opens to "Guide" which does work and can change channels and view TV.  

I have TCL 55" and TCL 40" Roku TV's.  Both are doing the same thing, started on same day.  Was the an update pushed out on Friday Oct 24, 2025 that went sideways on my TV's?

    I tried unplugging the power cord, then pressed the button under the tv's a couple times, plugged back in, turned on tv and now the Home screen is back!  It seems there was an "Update" for an "Even better Home screen" which caused the issue.  Now both TV's are back to full operation!    It would be nice if updates cold be done that work right out of the box!

        OK.  One other thing. It would be nice if the "Top Picks for You" tiles on top of the Guide menu could be turned off.  They are just an annoyance that does not need to be there!  They suggest things I never watch, never will watch and don't want to watch. And, most are pay to see, so, NO!

    It looks like you have an issue with the homescreen of both your TCL Roku TVs. And thanks for sending a photo showing the issue. 

    Could you share what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far? In the meantime, try to restart both TVs by pressing Home > Select Settings > Select System > Power (if that option is not there, skip to the next step) > System restart.

      Yes, an issue with home screen.  Cannot access Settings, or system>power.  None of the icons on home screen do anything.  All I can do is press power button on remote to get off the home screen. When tv restarts it opens to "Guide" here I can change channels and view live tv.  Both TV's have been restarted several times. Home screen is still "useless".  I have a strong hunch that an update from Roku may have caused this issue. So they may have to fix it!
