Glitchy Flickering Screen

My Tv is roughly 2 years old, never had a problem at all. The other day I was watching a show, and all of a sudden my screen started glitching out, it’s giving out static pixels in certain parts of the screen but covers about half of the screen making my tv useless to watch anything, any solutions?

What specific Roku TV is affected? Could you send us a clip of the issue for investigation purposes?

Additionally, if the suggested troubleshooting steps above did not fix the issue, we would recommend reaching out to the TV manufacturer, as this may be a hardware issue that will require their expertise. You can refer to this link to directly contact support for your Roku TV.

Keep us posted with your findings.

    Best regards,

  • I am having a TERRIBLE time with our ONN-ROKU TV.  It is absolutely terrible all of a sudden for the last few months.  The color is horrible.  Vertical shades of gray lines. A picture freezes and looks like a watermark that is on every channel. This is not on the apps alone but on my actual Roku.  This is terrible. We have done the Factory Reset. We have done the upgrades twice. Nothing works

Thanks for sharing this issue here! ndNDDD,

It appears you're having issues with color quality and vertical lines on your ONN Roku TV. If possible, could you please provide a video or photo of the problem while it’s happening? This would help us better understand and address the issue. Thank you!

      I await your response

      Thanks,

My device continues to flicker on the left side, 30% of the of the screen. I have tried the three suggested procedure, repowering, factory reset, and reconnecting to the outlet.

CharlieH01  What brand is the TV?  I would reach out to the customer service for that manufacturer (Onn, Hisense, TCL) directly unless it is a Roku owned brand TV.   Unfortunately, you likely have a screen going out and unless you are still under warranty from the manufacturer, you will have to try to get repaired or replace it.

I have a TCL Roku TV and none of these solutions worked

The solution is to contact TCL for technical support or warranty support if still under warranty.  It sounds like you have a bad screen, backlight or control board in your TV, which is common for budget level brands.

I tried every single tip you gave me and it doesn’t work at all, the screen is still glitchy and I just don’t know what to do. Yesterday I turned on my tv and it randomly started doing it, I got super confused and worried than I might’ve broke it, so I decided to contact you guys.
