Digital clock screensaver issues

The digital clock screensaver implementation has issues   

The spacing between the digits changes as the numbers change.  The number of segments used by the digits is inconsistent.

It appears as if this has been implemented with a vaguely digital clock font, but one that is just not right.

The best way to see some of the issues is to watch the clock carefully when the seconds digit transitions from 8 to 9.  You will see the entire character shift laterally while on a proper digital clock you will only see certain segments turn off.

Please fix this.  As someone who grew up with digital clocks this is jarring and disappointing.
