Brand new rechargeable remote/roku will not pair

I have gone thru the steps you recommend numerous times and the new remote still will not pair. The pairing screen says "searching for remote" but never finds it. Any more suggestions? Thanks.

    deepheat, what's the model number of your Roku device written on it somewhere?

        Yep, sorry.  The newer remotes won't pair to a 3700.  I don't believe any of the older RF remotes would either, but I always defer to Tivoburkee when it comes to remote specifics.
