Hey, Gijasmine05
It seems that you are having issues with the two-step verification that turns on by itself even if you want to turn it off.
Just a heads up that using the Roku Smart Home app requires enabling two-step verification to keep your Roku account and the app secure. Disabling it is not permanent.
To know more about two-factor verification on the Roku smart home app, just visit this link.
Thanks,

Why is an option on the app to turn it off? Also so that means only one person can watch the cameras? Most houses have more than one person living at houses.
thank you

You can turn off the two-step verification, but it won't stay off forever. Just keep in mind that anyone in your household can access it from different devices.
The trick is to use the same login details and avoid logging out of the Roku Smart Home app on their devices. This way, they won’t have to go through the two-factor authentication every time they want to check the camera.

This is a horrible solution, many of us turn off our phones at night forcing us to go thru the (totally unnecessary for this sort of app) the stupid 2-step verification all the time. This needs to be OPTIONAL and user controlled. I will be returning the cameras I just bought & selecting something more user friendly.

The 2 part verification needs to be re written. How it’s wrote on the link I keep getting sent it says if a lot if you want it, if you decide. Should be more clear than not an option because it’s written as it is one. I did see a post on here from a few years back saying this was an issue. The reply was it was being worked on to be fixed. Looks like it’s still an issue. It’s very misleading. At the very least the wording should be changed if the app isn’t going to change do what it says it can do but can’t.
