Smart home not recording not recognizing sd cards

I don't know why but all of a sudden my cameras quit recording and only take pictures I am up to date on my subscription I've never changed nothing on my profile to do it I even checked everything there's nothing changed it just started doing it today or yesterday it won't record but once in awhile it just takes pictures more than anything and the only thing I can keep a memory card or SD card working in is the tower thing that the outside camera connects to and the outside camera will also recognize and keep a memory card working the rest of them work for a day and then quit and they're not bad because I've put them in my phones and check them and they still work if anybody has an answer please hit me up

    Thank you for sharing your issue with the Roku Smart Home cameras, which won't record events and do not recognize your SD cards.

    Let's see if this works for you.

    1. Check if your Smart Home app and Cameras are up to date.
    2. Sign out and sign in to your Roku Smart Home app
    3. Restart your cameras
    4. Remove the micro SD card and re-insert it.

  • I'm having a similar issue. I've been running 3 indoor cameras. They've all had SD cards since I originally installed them. A few days ago 2 out of the 3 stopped recording events and no longer recognize that there's an SD card installed.

      I understand that you are having the same issue, in which your Roku cameras are not recognizing your installed SD card.

  • I have been having similar issues since the recent app update. At first, the device stopped recording to the SD card. I tried swapping out the SD card to ensure that that was not the issue, but that did not resolve the issue.  

    I have followed the directions listed above, however, this has not fixed the issue.

      It looks like the SD card on your Roku camera has stopped recording, and we'd like to assist you further with this issue. Please give these steps a try. 

      1. Ensure that you're using the suggested size microSD card. (We recommend using cards in FAT-32 format that are 8GB,16GB, or 32GB.)
      2. Reformat the microSD card. (Open the Smart Home app > go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Manage MicroSD storage > tap Format)
      3. Remove the microSD card, power cycle the camera, then reinsert the microSD card.
      4. Check to see if another device will recognize the microSD card (i.e., another camera, computer, etc.).
