Indoor camera 360 SE wired Camera not panning.

BRAND NEW Indoor camera 360 SE Wired was sent to me as a REPLACEMENT for the older indoor camera 360.. Both have the same issue which tells me it's Rokus system..

The Problem- The camera functions perfectly fine, detects/records motion and sound HOWEVER!!! It is NOT panning towards the sound that was detected despite multiple "Customer service" agents telling me that this camera has the feature. The indoor camera 360 is supposed to detect sound AND PAN TOWRDS the sound that was detected. Instead, it does not pan towards the sound it only sends me a recording of the sound. Yes, I have a subscription (individual camera), was told that this feature is NOT subscription based. Yes, I have factory reset, deleted, installed, uninstalled, power cycled and did everything else with 3 different agents other than give away a kidney or offer my first born as sacrifice.. ALL detection settings are on and set to high and then low and then medium and back to high. Voice is on. All smart detections are checked. Detection zone has been cycled multiple times. Last year my Indoor camera 360 worked fine and panned towards sound and was amazing! Then it was off for a few months and now this...

Is anyone else having the same camera problem?

OH AND THEN! Is anyone else tired of having to get a code to their email EVERYTIME they sign in DESPITE clicking the remember me box?

  • Hey, asbelair.

Here's an update from the team!

Please note that if a sound is detected, the device will begin recording. However, it will not pan toward the sound source, as the Indoor Camera 360 SE features only motion tracking and a single microphone. As a result, it cannot determine the direction from which the sound is coming.

We'd like to investigate the issue you have with the Roku Indoor Camera 360, which was not panning when detecting the sound.

To help us look further, could you share the following info?

    • MAC address, Firmware version, Roku Model, Software Version
    • Time Zone
    • Modem/Router model

Interesting, considering THREE of Roku agents confirmed that the camera should pan towards the sound and therefore had me do troubleshooting for almost TWO HOURS with the agents (including "tier 2"). Also When I purchased the camera Last summer (2024) the camera did indeed pan towards detected sound. So perhaps the company should set a budget aside for employee education on their products so that everyone is on the same page.

Thank you for the update, now I know I can start looking for a company that provides the service I need.

  • Not connecting I unplugged it an still doing tha same thing
