    We noticed your post about experiencing an issue with your Roku Smart Home app. Specifically, when you try to view the albums of your Roku Outdoor camera, it prompts you to grant permission to access photos and videos from your phone.     We need to confirm that the album you are referring to is from the Roku Outdoor camera live stream/feed when you click the "More" icon. Is that correct?

    When your Roku Smart Home app asks for permission, it's because it needs access to certain features to ensure your safety and security. However, if you prefer to limit the app's access to your videos and photos in your phone's gallery, you can select the "Keep Current Selection" option.

      I have the same problem. The app have all permission granted but still with the same problem

        We are glad to have you here telling us that you are having the same issue with the Roku Smart Home app permission.

        We highly suggest you try these couple of troubleshooting steps below:

        • Log out and back into the Roku Smart Home app
        • Uninstall and reinstall the Roku Smart Home app

  • I am also having this same issue now. I can view live feeds, I can view the events recorded, but when I click "more*" to view my album it flashes a message saying permission needed. I have granted the app all permissions, there is none denied. It still won't let me access album. I tried signing out and back in, I deleted the app and reinstalled, still no access

      Before we proceed, we would like to try installing the Roku Smart Home app top different mobile devices and see if the same issue occurs. Ensure that the Roku Smart Home app, camera, and mobile device are running the latest versions.

      If the issue persists, please provide us with the following:

      • Roku Camera Model: 
      • MAC address: 
      • Error Code: 
      • Smart Home app Firmware version :
      • Mobile device make, model, and OS/iOS version:
      • Log ID:  (pull up your Roku Smart Home app home page > select Account > Roku Support > Submit a Log)
      • Troubleshooting steps taken

        I am having the exact same issue. All permissions granted, logged out logged in, uninstalled then reinstalled. Tried on a different phone.. my indoor cameras are all working with access to the album. But the outdoor cameras STILL SAY "permission needed" šŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø
