Fox News app doesn’t freeze on any other platform. I cannot help but think it is because ROLU doesn’t support conservative news media. Fix it You are potentially alienating more than half of Americans who are conservative
The only apps that regularly freeze on my ROKU TV are Fox News and Fox Business. I have deleted the apps, cleared the cache, performed a system restart, performed an aancient Mayan ritual, got the Tibetan monks to bless my TV, and offered a burnt offering to the one true God. Nothing seems to solve this issue on my end. Therefore, it must be on ROKU’s end.
Fix it. I am very frustrated.
Unfortunately, the app developer (Fox News) is responsible for the maintenance and fixes to their channel/app.
The Fox News app has always had issues on Roku. It works for awhile and then with each new Roku OS update it just breaks until the Fox developers address the needed fixes.
I understand your frustration, especially when paying for something that doesn't work, but not a conspiracy, just some malformed coding issues.

Instead of placing the blame only on FOX News, how about ROKU actually WORK with the Fox News developers in coming up with a solution once and for all to solve this issue. Obviously, there is a disconnect between the ROKU OS and the Fox News app, and it seems that this disconnect happens every time there is a ROKU OS upgrade, as you state. Perhaps it would be beneficial to publish to the app developers (including FOX News) what exactly was upgraded in the OS.
Regarding your ROKU OS upgrade: is there proper testing being done on the new versions? Are APP developers, like Fox News, given sufficient time to test and verify that their app works in the new ROKU OS? I am going to assume that the answer to those questions are no: No, the new OS is not properly vetted, and no, application developers are not given sufficient time to test and verify that their apps work properly in the new OS.
Stating "It is not my problem" (especially to the end user / customer) is NOT an effective way to work towards a solution. Deflection should never be used to dispel a known issue with a large impact. The solution is simple: work with the FOX News app developers in coming up with a permanent fix for this ongoing problem.
I work in IT. If my answer was "It is not my problem" when there is a major incident, and I was unwilling to help solve the issue, I would have been fired from my place of employment long, long ago.
Fix this problem.

Excellent answer! When this happens and all I find here is "it's Fox New's fault", I find it upsetting. My husband was a programmer & he would NEVER have accepted these responses. My solution is to start bombarding Fox News on every social media app I've ever used plus, I've found that on Fox's main website they have a Contact Us link. I use this and I swear, things seems to get fixed within 24 hours, sometimes less.

I work in IT and the best thing to do when there is an issue between components is to work on the issue until it is resolved, even if it appears to be an issue on the other side.
Until the problem is resolved, you can’t say with 100% certainty that it isn’t a problem on your side.- Fit14evr11 months agoReel Rookie
Of course! I never said anything with 100%! Regardless, it is freezing on all our TVs...seven in total... so the issue has to be either with Fox or Roku.

Please stop lying. How often do you do an OS update? Every 24-48 hours? You're telling me every app available on Roku is sitting by just waiting to see something needs to be changed with each update? And...it seems with each update Fox News is the only one that needs something updated? Please, I'm not buying it and I don't think the rest of them are either. I'll be getting in contact with someone at Fox News to ensure they know of this issue if it continues. It's BS. Jessie Waters Primetime loves BS like this.

I'm having the same issue too, albeit that mine buffers at 33%. App will work for a while, maybe 30-60 minutes and then seems to freeze when FoxNews goes to commercial.
This has only been happening for me over the last 3-4 weeks. Worked fine prior to that.
Only change has been moving from cable internet (600Mbps) to fiber (symmetrical 1Gbps)...so, I should have plenty of internet speed.
