Roku has a problem.
The Roku Streaming device has no future without 3rd party streaming apps.
If Roku's position is that "We sell the Roku Box, you are on your own trying to get 3rd party streaming apps to work properly. "
If 3rd party apps like Amazon Prime says, like they did to me, "don't bother us, it works fine on Fire Stick. "
Where does that leave the Roku consumer?? Screwed and it will only get worse. Apple has Their content and Box, Amazon their content and Box and just wait the rest will eventually follow because they have the leverage. The Leverage is content, and you can only get reliable support if you purchase their Streaming Box.
I predict that is the trend. Netflix DiD attempt a streaming device in the past. Netflix also creates designs and supports their content on other Streaming Boxes. So when Roku tells me. "Tuff Luck Dude." Call Amazon, Amazon have no desire to help either, just buy our Fire Stick.
