Netflix and Disney + are the only things that ever works without fail.

Ever since I got my Roku the problems have only gotten worse. The time on the tv is never right no matter what I do. Yes ive put my time on automatic and manual and it still doesn’t work. Max doesnt boot up half the time and the other half it wont play anything when it does boot up. Hulu always has me sign in and when I do it give me an error and I waste my time. Nowadays Prime Video has me sign in everytime I click the app and it tells me that there’s no network connect so it won’t let me log in, or it tells me my device time is off so it doesn’t let me do anything. Other than Prime Video, the newest addition to the issue is that YouTube will load the thumbnails of videos and I can search through them no problem but it will show no preview when hovering over a video and when I click on a video it shows an indefinite black screen and never plays. I know that this is a problem with Roku because when I use a different non Roku branded device it works totally fine with no problems at all.

    Hi Brynks,

    Greetings from the Roku Community!

We understand you are having trouble with the channels on your Roku device because they were not loading. We're happy to help.

    Reset your Wi-Fi or router

If you are having trouble streaming content with your Roku device, you may need to reset your internet connection and restart your Roku device as well.

    1. Locate your internet router and reset it by doing the following:
      1. Unplug it from its power source. Wait 10 seconds, then plug it directly into a power outlet
      2. Press the Reset button located on the bottom or back of the device and wait for a few minutes, then try loading content on your Roku device again
    2. If you need help with this step, contact your internet service provider

    Restart your Roku device

    1. Press Home on your Roku remote.

    2. Scroll down and select Settings.
    3. Select System.
    4. Select Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.
    5. Select System restart.
    6. You can also reset your Roku device by unplugging it:
      1. Power off your Roku device.
      2. Unplug it from its power source.
      3. Wait 10 seconds, then plug it directly into a power outlet.
      4. Turn it on and try accessing content again.

For more information, please see this support article on issues playing content on your Roku device.

We would recommend trying to see if that resolves your issue. Please keep us posted.

    Best regards,
    The Roku Community Team

        TLC Roku TV

        The connection is excellent

Connecting to hotspot, then connecting back to WiFi only makes YouTube work. Nothing else.
