RetroMovie App seems to be working again, with much of the same content that MovieLandTV, CinemaBox, and Classico had available. Some movies have been weeded out, but it still works ... with a working search, and with no logins, no subscriptions, no ads, no kidding. Good to see it back.

lets keep in touch if another free movie channel like RetroMovie appears on Roku ?

Yes, absolutely. If I start a new thread, I'll embed the names "MovielandTV", "CinemaBox", "Classico" ... and now "RetroMovie" with the new App Name. Stay well, and enjoy the show!

It’d be a welcomed miracle if RetroMovie developed into a permanent channel such as Amazing Classics and Tubi. Where no haters complained about copyrighted movies. It’s bad enough the haters removed CinemaBox and MovielandTV channels. There are plenty of other channels that show free movies and no one complained about those channels.

There are a number of channels/apps that you might want to take a look at. They are all part of a group that promotes a subscription to the group for access across them all. I do not subscribe. Each channel offers a "Watch Free" option as you launch the App. With the free option, the content will be interrupted every 8 minutes, for almost exactly 30 seconds. The "ad" you watch is always the same, promoting "Watch Without Ads" subscription service for all the apps in the group, which is called "ClassicMoviesAndTV.com Premium Club". Go to that URL and you can see all the apps available with the 1 subscription.
Now the attractive part is that with 7.5 interruptions per hour, for 30 seconds each (225 seconds), that is only 3.75 minutes per hour. which is far less that the ad interruptions on Tubi, Pluto ... and just about any other movie and tv app you'll try.
The negatives are, there is no search with out subscription. Movies are categorized somewhat by genre, and it is easy the scan thru the available content. So occasionally I return to the category I know I am interested, and see if I can find a movie of interest that I have usually run across before.
The primary channel I watch is "Golden TV and Movie Classics". Others include:
- "Golden Oldies of Comedy"
- "Classic Movies and TV"
- "Classic TV & Movies"
- "Classic Comedy Channel"
- "Action Classics Channel"
- "Western Classic Movies"
- "Horror Classics Channel"
- "Wild West Classics Channel"
- "Western Classics Channel"
- "Drama Classics Channel"
- "Sci-Fi Classics Channel"
- "Adventure Classics Channel"There is a lot of overlap of content across these apps, but at least they become somewhat more organized for you.
On each there may be subcategories of interest, for example on the Golden TV and Movie Classics Channel, there are breakouts for Fritz Lang, Orson Welles, H.G. Welles, Jules Verne, Alfred Hitchcock, Charlie Chan, Sherlock Holmes and many classic TV series.
Again, I have not subscribed, but have watched many great classics free, with very minimal ad interruptions. Have a look!

I have added a new Discussion, called: "RetroMovie is back again (like CinemaBox, MovielandTV, Classico)" to search on.
The one this comment is in is getting a little cluttered. RetroMovie is back again, comments and specifics in the new discussion.
