Seriously? What are these apps taking over my Home screen?

Look, I get that Roku CEO Anthony Wood and his motley management team are bending over for Apple CEO Tim Cook and others because they want to play with the big boys. But this morning, Roku had slammed two apps I didn't ask for--Apple TV and Backdrops--onto my Home screen without asking my permission AGAIN. I realize this may be beyond Roku's ability to understand, but WE are the customers--not Apple, not Disney, not the other mega billion-dollar corporations they drool over. Stop inconveniencing us just because you're panting like a bunch of hormonal teenage girls after the high school star quarterback.
