My Roku Streambar OS was updated this morning. Now YouTube will not play any videos. The app loads, thumbnails generate, videos can be added to or removed from playlists, etc. But not one video will play. It tries to load, but the screen just turns black and nothing happens no matter how long I wait.
I've rebooted the Streambar, uninstalled and reinstalled YouTube, unplugged the Streambar for a few minutes. Nothing works.
Hulu, Netflix, and Paramount Plus are all working smoothly. The only problem is YouTube, and it happened immediately after the Streambar OS update.
(Edit: Yes, YouTube does work on my phone and tablet.)
What do I do to fix this?
Unfortunately for us, after a factory reset, roku did an immediate software update. To exactly the same 14.0.4
Any idea how to stop the update?

KatinVT, did you try YouTube anyway?
Mine also did the update immediately, 14.0.04. But it worked for me anyway.
It may not necessarily be the OS version itself, so much as possibly the update made some of our devices stuck, for want of a better phrase. I think that the reset released whatever was stuck, because I have the same version of both the Roku OS and the YouTube app now as before the factory reset.
Or it could be that this isn't the fix for your device, but I sure hope it will be.

Well, the reset worked... for one evening! Now it's back to nothing works. When will this be fixed?

Oh jeez, I'm sorry, KatinVT!
