[Solved] Roku Service Interruption

I cannot access anything on the Roku Channel, I have a good internet connection and good wireless, but no matter what show I try to select on the Roku channel I get a message that it is unavailble or expired.  All my other apps show movies etc ok, but not the Roku channel. The Roku channel is the only one thast I cannot watch anything on.

I have 5 roku devices in my house, 4x tcl roku tvs and a streaming stick+ connected to a non roku tv. 

I went to use my streaming stick+ powered device today and it said it was updating, but then the downloading screen would show for a split second and then say "something went wrong" error 000 and the only options were try again or factory reset. 

factory reset just led me to the same issue as soon as i connected my wifi. 

i have now factory reset maybe 40 times, i rebooted every piece of network kit i own. 

I moved the streaming stick to a hdmi port on another tv and managed to connect to download the update and got a screen saying it was the latest version. but now when i try to activate it i enter the second layer of my own personal. 

first of all i couldn't login in any device to my roku account until i changed my password twice(!) once i got access if i use the QR activation code on my phone it takes me to a privacy page every time even after i set my preference and then it is 50/50 whether i get sent to my account page and nothing has happened or i see the activation screen for a split second before the site redirects me back to the login, then back to the activation screen and it loops until the site tells me i've been logged out for security purposes. 

if i try to email myself an activation link every single email link i receive says "link has expired".

at one point i tried to reboot the roku and it got stuck in the failed download loop even though it said it had been updated and i couldn't get the download to work until i connected it to a THIRD tv in my house. 

I just wanted to watch some television while i did some rehab work on my treadmill and instead of a 60 minute workout i've wasted 2.5 hours so far and not one step in the entire process has worked as it should have. it even took me 3 attempts to successfully pick a username so i could post this without it erroring. 

unless you have a major system outage making all of your systems unstable I have no idea what is going on because even across multiple machines, operating systems, browsers nothing is working properly and i'm completely out of things to try. 

now i feel like i can't trust any of my roku devices any more to do their job. 

ROKU: Please post status updates....even if only "Still investigating". Also inform us whether this is related to the AWS outage.

Roku live (and many other apps) are not working and have disappeared. I have restarted roku, checked for updates, and we have high speed internet working. I live in Alachua, Florida. We still get the ABC app, PBS, and other apps.

My issues started about 12:30 am on the 20th. I tried to restart several times and reconnect to my network but it failed everytime… fortunately, I only spent about 20 minutes before I gave up. It would be awesome if Roku could send out an email when there are issues so we don’t all try to reset or restart for hours as some had. 

Hey all of the troubleshooting suggestions on the Apple community and here don’t really work. The problem comes back. I’m going to cancel the subscription and request a refund for the time left until renewal, but could you let me know or post it here when the problem has been fixed? The content is really good, just the app is way too buggy and I don’t have time to keep troubleshooting it. 

Roku stopped functioning and reset TV to restart. Now it’s stuck unloading QR code and doesn’t move.

I cant log into my smart home app to acess camera keeps saying reset password

Well today is the first day that I haven't been able to access service. I went to bed with everything working only to wake up with limited channels. I looked for support and read to try restarting devices, unplugging device and then factory reset tv. After I reset device, I have not been able to reconnect after I connect with Wifi. This is so frustrating because all of our devices are all Roku TV's and now no access. To put the icing on the cake you can never reach live, real time agents or support. These issues are never listed in the fine print or advertised when they promote their products. Very disappointed, does anyone have a solution or know how one might speak to someone live?

I have the same problem. I uninstalled the app and now I can't re-install it. It's a 3rd party glitch, so hopefully they'll have it fixed soon.
