[Solved] 14.5 Error playing video on FanDuel

Hey everyone,

We've noticed that some users are encountering the "Error playing video" issue on FanDuel after the latest update.

Status Update 4.2.25: The issue should be resolved.

    While trying to watch Fandual Sports.
    Keep getting this error message.

    Error playing video

    There was an unexpected error while playing this video. Please try again.

      We are having the same issue and error message. 

      So far nothing has helped.

        Had the same issue as well and still have it this morning. It feels like this is a FanDuel thing but maybe FanDuel with roku.i have tried everything to resolve with no luck.

      Fanduel TV app on the Roku device won't allow me to enter into my Fanduel account. I tried clearing cache, doesn't help. The login stops at 2nd authentication page. What am I doing wrong?

        For this matter, it is recommended that you contact Fanduel support directly and ask for further assistance with your concern.

        It is important to note that subscriptions and content, such as Live TV programming on a specific app, are managed and maintained by their respective channel providers. They can guide you through the steps to operate on their app and assist you with any other concerns.

      I am getting the same error message on my new Roku ultra 2024 as of Friday March 21st. Worked prior to that date

    How do I fix the problem with FanDuel sports? I bought the package to watch MN Wild and it never allows me to watch it. It’s almost like the app needs to be updated as it appears different than it does on my phone. I was on the phone with FanDuel for almost 3 hours and everything we tried did not work. So at this point I’m paying $190 a year to watch things on my phone. HELP!!!!!

      I was able to Airplay (cast) a game from my phone (FanDuel Sports app) to the tv last night. So give that a try and hopefully that works until they get this fixed.

    Problem started for me on Wednesday night when attempting to watch the Timberwolves game on Fanduel,   It was happen on Friday night for the Wolves again, and Saturday afternoon for the Wild game.

    Plays for about 30 seconds before error message shows up.

    V 14.5.4.  Build 5924-95

    So glad I came across this message. We had recently changed from cox internet to AT&T. We only got this error message when trying to access FanDuel Sports channel. Other streaming services worked fine. Spent several hours on the phone with. AT&T tech support. No fix. Swapped out ROKU devices and problem solved. Please get this issue with the roku bar fixed and notify customers when it's done.

      I'm missing my second mn wild game now because we can't watch fan duel sports network from Roku.  Other friend I know can watch the game on fan duel.  Why are som many people on Roku can't see it?

      I have an older LG TV with a streaming stick, so it's definitely not my television.

        i guess , it's not just you who is facing issues with Fan duel sports ! There are many and it is from a very long time . I thought , the network might be down , but i checked and there are probably no notifications available . So , well - The reason is unfound ! 

         I might suggest you try clear cache data on the app. 

        Check if your internet connection is stable . 

        I would update here , if i find any solution .

    The FanDual app runs fine on our FireTV sticks, but the app will not open on a Roku streaming stick.
    When you click the app on the home screenmm, the screen goes black and returns to the home screen.

        They closed this ticket Thursday I think, so I am not even sure they are seeing any of these new responses.

    Have been having exactly the same issue on one Roku device (model 4630X - Roku Premier+) but not on any of the others in the house (several different device models).  Per the troubleshooting advice here is the requested data.
