Hey everyone,

Status Update (1/30)

We’re currently investigating the issue with the Hulu channel freezing during live recordings.

If you're running into this problem, we’d love to get some more info to help us out! Please drop the following details:

  • Your device model
  • OS version
  • Hulu app version
  • Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
  • Which specific content you’re experiencing the issue with

This will help us narrow things down faster! We’ll mark this post as solved for visibility and to help others who might be dealing with the same thing. Thanks for your patience as we work on a fix!

    Watching My Stuff on Hulu. Picture froze 10 times within an hour.  Each time reverts to the Roku Home Screen.  This started happening to me 4 days ago.  I have 3 different Ultra’s and it has happened on all three.  
    Here are todays codes:

    This Issue still persist 5 days now. All recordings in my stuff in Hulu Continue to freeze after about five minutes and go goes back to home screen.

    Should not take this long to figure out this issue.

      I have the same issue; Hulu isn't responding to chat on the 'freeze' subject.

    Always on a recorded program for the past few weeks. Does not appear to happen on live shows.

    Model: 4620X Roku Premiere

    Tracker ID: Roku crashes every time I attempt to get this. 

    Issue occurs while watching recorded content from My Stuff. Content comes from a variety of networks: Bravo, local sports network, vh1, mtv.

    Issue during playback of recorded content from NBC on Hulu app. Roku completely froze up for 1 minute before exiting to Home Screen and becoming responsive again.

    not able to get a tracker id to show.

    The issues is happening on all recorded shows. Show freezes and I can’t get it to work again unless I turn off my tv . Happening for bravo and various channels

      My report was from a recorded football game on the NFL network. The symptom is not a freeze. It crashes the HULU app and returns to the ROKU home screen. I can restart the recording from where it stopped, but only for 5-10 minutes and then another crash and home screen.

    While watching a playback of a Hulu recording, after a few minutes, the screen goes black, and then I get the Roku screen.  I am completely kicked out of Hulu.  When this problem started a few days ago, the screen would stutter and then sometimes freeze and maybe catch up, but it would eventually kick me out.  Now, it just kicks me out.  Other apps work fine (YouTube, PBS app, etc).  My network seems to be okay.  No changes have been made, and the Rokus say they have excellent wifi connectivity and around 150 Mbps down.  I can play back this Hulu content on my phone and PC, just not the Hulu app on my Rokus.
