43" Roku Select Series 4K TV will not pair with the remote
I have a new 43" Roku (my 4th Roku TV). The remote is fully charged but it won't pair with the TV. The white light flashes but nothing else happens. The screen will not go past the "Let's Get Started" page (the one with the different language options). Roku support chat was useless, she just said press the back and home button and wait 5 seconds but I did that many times and nothing changed. Then she said take the batteries out and put them back in, Again, no change. Is there a solution?
Roku TV no longer discovered by Alexa
About a year ago I purchased a 42” Philips Roku tv from Sams Club. I set it up and paired it with Alexa and it worked but was a novelty as I was on a Direct TV dish. I am now turning Direct TV off in favor of a streaming service but discovered that the TV has lost the ability to pair with Alexa. About 3 months ago ATT came out and upgraded the router. Everything was the same and all appeared to work as it did but I did not check to see if the TV was still paired with Alexa. To date I have removed the TV from the Roku account. Removed the skill from the Alexa app. Reset the TV to out of box. Set the TV back up. Checked that the TV was back in the Roku account. Installed the Roku skill in the Alexa app. Then scanned for new devices but found none. I also went in and forced the router to have a different SSID for the 2.4G and the 5G bands. The TV is using the 2.4G band same as the Echo show. What am I missing?
HDMI connection issues with tivo box.
When i connect my eastlink cable box to any hdmi port in back of 55 inch philips roku tv the picture goes dark and distorted the box and cable work fine on other TV (LG tv). Philips claim it is a roku issue so won't do anything but make me do factory resets which does nothing. Is there a way to revert back from an update as it seems to have started then. Roku itself works fine but can't connect my cable box.
