No sound on other channels Roku Streambar SE on Sony TV

Bought the Roku Streambar SE today. It has no sound on other channels outside of HDMI 3, which is the ARC port. I have factory reset the device, I have tried different HDMI cables, and I have disabled and reenabled the CEC and eARC settings. Bravia Sync was turned on an off. It only plays sound from HDMI 3 which is the Roku Streambar itself. I'm probably going to return this because it seems to just be defective. This is a last ditch effort to try and get it to function outside of the one HDMI input.

No option to switch to audio outputs on Roku TV

I’m genuinely frustrated that in 2025, something as simple as switching audio outputs on a Roku TV still isn’t an option. I have a Hisense Roku tv mounted on the wall and my speakers use the “headphone” audio jack. Currently, if anything is plugged into the headphone jack, the TV automatically disables the internal speakers. While this makes sense in some cases, it becomes a major inconvenience when the TV is wall mounted and the jack is difficult or impossible to access regularly. There is no way to manually disable the headphone output or switch back to TV speakers with settings. This means the only way to use the internal speakers again is to physically unplug the headphone connection, which simply isn’t reasonable for many setups. Who designed this? It makes zero sense that users aren’t given a simple toggle under audio settings to manually switch between headphone output and TV speakers. Wall mounted setups are incredibly common, and forcing people to tear their TV off the wall just to switch back to internal audio is ridiculous.

    Roku Streambar Inconsistent Audio Output

After almost 2 hours of chat and telephone support, I am told that my Roku Streambar is not a speaker. Really?? I have a TCL Roku TV and the Streambar SE. Audio output is inconsistent, regardless of the app I am streaming from, or using cable TV. Different shows within the same app will have different audio output, usually too low. Shows play at the same lower audio level that commercials play. Except that some commercials will blast me out of my chair because they are not automatically lowered. I have to always lower the volume if changing channels or changing a video. Often I give up watching something because the audio is never good enough. Settings are on Dialogue, Clarity on High. Connection is with HDMI to HDMI ARC port on TV. If this product is indeed NOT a speaker, why sell it under the heading of Audio products, and promote it's enhanced audio features? I've been a loyal Roku customer for many years. But I am ready to dump all of it and move to another brand.

Blocking others from casting audio to Roku streambar

Is there any way to block this? My settings are supposed to allow only limited access and prompt for permission in order to cast. Furthermore, no one else is on my WiFi. Yet at least once a month I am blasted out of bed by my neighbor’s audio pouring out of my streambar.

    Roku Streambar Sound Blown Out

I’m currently using the basic streambar (9102R) for a few months now when suddenly the speaker sound is blown when the slightest base is heard. It does it whether streaming or through basic cable. Any help with would be appreciated.

    Roku Streambar and Hearing Aids

I am trying to connect a Resound TV Streamer 2 to my Roku Streambar SE so that I can simultaneously listen to the TV through my hearing aids while other family members listen through the Streambar speaker. The optical plug on the Roku seems to be an input and not an output so it does not supply sound to the Resound Streamer 2. I had hoped that because HDMI/ARC is a 2-way connection, that the Roku Soundbar sound would flow back to the TV and I could use the TV's digital output, but no sound there as well. I've seen the suggestion to use private listening. This works fabulously if I am watching alone, but doesn't help when other people watch with me, as private listening mutes the Roku speaker. Has anyone found a solution that allows simultaneous listening through hearing aids and the Roku Streambar speaker?

Enable spatial audio support for the Roku app on iOS.

With the Roku app on my iPhone, I can listen to streaming content using headphones in "Headphone Mode". I use AirPods Pro, which have spatial audio capability, but unfortunately, the Roku app doesn't support it natively—only stereo sound is available. Since Roku supports wireless audio over Wi-Fi with the iOS app, it would be great to enjoy surround sound through compatible headphones on iPhone and iPad.
