Roku Streambar sound cutting out while using HDMI

Hello, I, like many others here, am incredibly frustrated with the constant audio cutouts (randomly, at least 2-3 times per hour, sometimes 2-3 times every 5 min) while using HDMI sources connected to the TV. This issue is beyond annoying — it's a total "show stopper". (no audio cutout observed when using roku OS, although not using it a lot). I've gone through all the usual "troubleshooting" steps: swapping HDMI cables, power cycling the Streambar, etc., yet the problem still persists. When I use another soundbar from a different brand with the same TV and cables, it works perfectly — no issues, for years. What is even more frustrating is reading this issue has been ongoing for years with no real solution. Roku’s typical response of "we will contact you separately" is just lip service — it does little for the community at large, the expected purpose of this site. If this doesn’t get fixed very soon, I’ll be returning this product while I’m still within the return window. It's a shame because when it does work, the bar offers great value, but this constant audio dropout is unacceptable. My model 9102EU | SW 13.1.4.1515 | device ID 2E1288XXXXXX

Audio was great. Now it's too quiet with no Expanded Audio

I am experiencing a problem recently with the audio from my Roku Streambar Pro and two Roku TV Wireless Speakers I have had the Roku Streambar Pro for some time and added the two back speakers in May. I connected the Roku Streambar Pro using ARC and the sound was great. While moving some furniture, I unplugged the rear speakers. After plugging them back in, the sound isn’t so hot. Now, I must turn the TV volume up twice as loud to hear anything well and it's the only chance of hearing the dialogue. And the Expanded Audio setting is grayed out on every streaming app apart from Amazon Music. That music app is the only one that sounds amazing with audio that fills the room. I tried pairing the speakers again, but that hasn’t helped. I’ve also tried every audio setting, but no dice. Boosting the dialogue obviously makes voices louder, but the quality of the sound is lousy with that setting. Can you please tell me how to get things back to what they once were and also offer suggestions for getting Expanded Audio to activate on other apps?

What device should I buy for my TV?

Looking at purchasing Roku speakers/soundbar setup to help get tv sound into other rooms of the house. What would be the best devices to allow audio from the tv and the external device(s) simultaneously? I have a TCL Roku TV

Roku Smart Soundbar (9101X) is having an issue with the reboot loop when finishing the update

Came home to a solid orange light on the front. Unplugged it and plugged it back in, and it just goes back to solid orange. If I hold the reset button for 10 seconds, it will goto a white and then green light, but it eventually just goes back to orange and will reboot every ~3 minutes. I own 3 of these, and the other two are working fine.

Roku Streambar displaying 'Out of range'

Help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've had mine for 3 years without problems. I used it to watch TV and have the sound through the Streambar. The following day the Streambar starts with the ROKU jumping and then goes off and shows "out of range" and then then nothing but the flashing orange light. I've reset it numerous times and can get it as far as the wireless connection. It shows it is about to start the software download and then goes "out of range" and the orange light flashing and again nothing..Any help would be appreciated.

Losing HDMI ARC video signal when using Ultra headphone jack

Got a new Samsung TV and am using a Roku Ultra and Yamaha YAS-109 soundbar. The connection pattern is: Roku HDMI out>Soundbar HDMI in, and, Soundbar HDMI out to Samsung TV HDMI ARC. Everything works fine until after I plug in my headphone to the Roku remote. After several minutes I lose video connection to the TV. My "theory" is that when I plug in the headphones, the audio is cut to the soundbar, and after a short while, the soundbar goes to "sleep", dropping its HDMI output to the TV. Is there a simple workaround where ARC functionality isn't lost. Presently when I activate the Roku remote, the TV and soundbar power on, and when I power off the Roku remote, the TV and soundbar power off.

Ever since the last update, private listening stopped working.

I have used private listening on my roku devices (Roku Express 4K 3940RW, and Hisense TV G211X) just fine for a long time now. I have never once had an issue with it, and love it so much. After the last app update, it no longer works at all. There is either no audio, or the audio keeps playing from the TV, and it keeps going from saying private listening on, then turning it off again. Here are the things I have tried: I made sure my volume was up Turned devices on and off again, and unplugged and plugged them Turn my phone (android) on and off again Cleared app cache Cleared the app data Force closed and re opened the app Tried different wired headphones Tried switching from wired to blutooth headphones Checked for updates on the rokus Checked if my phone was missing any permissions Made sure to turn on nearby share, location, and blutooth Double checked my app was up to date. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app Looked up any help topics that might be relevant I still can't get it to work. Does anyone have any other suggestions? As far as I can tell, the last update just broke the feature. I miss watching TV while my wife is asleep.

7.1.x A Dream Never Coming True?

For years I rocked 5.1 channel surround sound and always wanted to get to the next level. I moved into a home and the room had the perfect 7.1 layout opportunity. Built the 7.1 system Onkyo RZ50 receiver to do the work Newest Samsung TV Roku Ultra Spent DAYS with Onkyo support (who are amazing btw) and finally figured out I was using eARC CEC on TV and the receiver. Functioned flawlessly and that's what the ** ARC is for right? Well... Samsung TVs max out at DD 5.1 atmos. ? So any 7.1 signal you try to play throws it off and the TV defaults to PCM stereo. So I found myself only playing 5.1 and neglecting the back speakers. We turned off eARC, ran everything to the receiver, and dummy displayed the TV. Now Roku Ultra is main source and is in Pass-through mode. PROBLEM: I can't find any legit 7.1 sources on YouTube, Netflix, or Prime Video. I was told only Apple TV device and Blue Rays are the only way to get true 7.1. How the ** is it 2023 and all Samsung TVs cant process past 5.1, no passthrough AND eARC option, and I can't find a true 7.1.x source? Can Roku Ultra process or pass true 7.1? Doesn't list that spec but Apple prod does... and I am not an Apple person. Now I just have my far back surrounds mimicing atmos instead just to put them to use. Ugh. Is 5.1 ATMOS the best and I screwed up??

Roku Soundbar freezing screen, other issues - unable to reach support

Roku soundbar purchased in late November. After using successfully for about two weeks, I started having several different issues with the soundbar - which I am also using to stream in addition to sound. The soundbar will often distort the screen and there is nothing to do but unplug for many hours and then try again. I also perform a system restart daily to try to avoid but it only works for a day or two. In addition, it will freeze the screen a lot during watching. When I switch to my Roku TV to stream I do not have this freezing issue. My wifi performs well, it isn't the issue. I've tried many different HDMI cables so that isn't the issue either. I also had the roku wireless speakers but they drop the connection so much I've decided to scrap them. I have tried to contact support directly but the submission form doesn't actually allow submission. Anyone else had any success with the soundbar while also using it to stream?
