    Request for Wireless Charging Remote

I love my Roku players and looking to upgrade when a wireless charging remote is available. I have several wireless chargers around the house where I set my phones to charge. I want to do the same with my remotes.

Can "Roku Voice Remote Pro" shortcuts open you tube tv, live programming

I have several Roku streaming sticks with standard voice remotes. When I say "Open you tube tv", they launch the you tube app, not the you tube TV app. I wonder if the pro version is any better. Ideally, I'd like the favorite to launch "live TV" which is a top level menu option in the YouTube TV App. (Since that is mostly what I watch.) Can the Roku Voice Remote Pro do this?

Streaming Stick4K and Voice Remote Setup Pairing Issue

I am having the same/similar issue!! But I have a Streaming Stick. Re: Re: Remote not working and re-pairing light does not come on I did all of the recommended troubleshooting suggestions from this community and through ROKU site for my voice remote but the remote still does not work and any attempt the re-pair is not working as the light does not come one/did not blink. Summary: Came home, TV was on home screen, remote not working. Any buttons I pressed, nothing happened. Will not turn on or off TV, nothing. I have a Streaming Stick 4K - just got in May 2024. I am using the USB power cable with long range wifi receiver built in to the cord which connects to the stick. I did all the trouble shooting: - Checked the batteries, and replaced them (reset remote) just in case - Checked my wireless connection (router is not the issue) - I do not have an HDMI extender in the event that there are problems with the remote due to "HDMI interference" but once I have all of the info I need (Device ID (don't have atm), serial ID# (X02500XWK08K), Model# (3820CA2), I can order one to see if that fixes the problem...in future. But that doesn't help me right now. - I rebooted my devices *** I did this several times. ONE TIME, when I went to re-pair the remote (after holding down home and back button on remote for 5 sec), the light blinked green for a moment... then nothing happened. I waited for the two to pair, but nothing. Still buttons don't work, remote not paired. Consecutive tries after repeating the process did not yield any light blinking...So... - I did a factory reset. The opening screen following the reset was to re-pair the remote but because the remote is not working, I cannot select the language or settings, etc for the next steps that they are asking. When I take the batteries out, put them back in and press the home and back button for 5 seconds, nothing happens. No lights blink. So the remote won't re-pair. Also...I cannot access the Device ID (don't have original packaging now). The Serial Number and Model number I found by downloading ROKU app and looking at my account and looking online where I bought the device. I cannot go to: Settings > System > About on my TV because the remote doesn't work! So, what do I do now? Is there something else I can try or do I need a new remote and if so, is it under warranty still? I registered it online May 09, 2024. Who do I contact to get a new remote - will warranty cover it through Roku or where do I buy a new one? Can you respond here but also to my private email so I do not miss a response? I will add, I also tried plugging in my stick to another HDMI port with the same results. This would be the second time since May 2024 that I have had to factory reset my Roku Streaming Stick 4K. The first time was not a remote issue. I thought it was a router issue and had a new one installed and an ethernet cable now runs from my TV to my router, so I am not sure why the remote isn't working (not connecting to the wifi?) and won't re-pair

No headphone jack on the Roku Remote Pro 2nd Edition

What! No earbud jack in your new Roku Voice Remote Pro Second Edition . What's the point of that? Don't you guys realize how most people watch these days. So you've tried to solve the battery drain problem by taking away the poorly designed audio earbud transmission/energy use problem. I have a remote head set - an around the neck type - that syncs with every device I own except the Roku, and its battery lasts for over a week. It can last much longer if you remember to turn it off (yes, it has an on-off button - an advanced technology Roku should investigate!). So, Roku, you've taken one large step backwards with you new remote. I got an idea - go to your customer suggestion page and listen to your customers criticisms, especially on the battery problem. Or, better yet, just fix the removable battery door problem and go back to your old model.

Roku remote battery pops up notification

I just sat down to use my Roku, I was playing a movie and enjoying it. I hadn't even touched my Roku remote in 30 whole minutes since I pressed the "OK" button to begin playing the video. Then suddenly out of nowhere I start getting the upper right corner of my TV screen spammed with the ridiculous remote battery notification! My batteries are still over 50% in charge, I checked the battery level in the settings. Why the he1l am I getting a pop up for my batteries when there is still more than 50% charge left? Why the he1l is the notification popping up randomly 30 minutes into a video when I'm not even pressing any buttons on the remote? Roku I HAVE HAD IT WITH YOU and your annoying remote pop ups over my videos! I've been complaining about these broken notifications for YEARS! You never fix it! It doesn't work properly! Your battery notifications are an annoyance! They are not necessary! I will change my batteries when the button presses no longer work! Roku, why will you not add an option in the Roku firmware under the remote settings to COMPLETELY DISABLE these ridiculous remote battery notifications? It should be pretty simple for the genius Roku programmers! Example: Remote Settings - Battery Notification Enable Disable Done! So why not just do it once and for all? Unless Roku simply enjoys ticking off their customers while we use our Rokus? So our TV screens continually keep getting spammed with broken battery level pop ups? Do you understand how annoying this is when trying to watch a film or TV show? Do you even care? Is the real question! NOT ONCE have I ever gotten this pop up and I had to actually change the batteries! No matter when the pop up alerts me my batteries are always working perfectly fine and continue to do so for weeks if not months later! The notification is flawed and useless! Roku's silence on this issue speaks volumes! I am officially DONE purchasing Roku devices. The customer service here is a complete JOKE! Fix this! Don't ask me for my serial number, don't ask me what software version I am running or any other stupid inept questions like the moderators always do! This is NOT a device specific problem it is a problem with the remote software because it does this on all my Roku remotes at some point. Whoever designed these battery pop up notifications completely failed at doing it properly and they should be FIRED!! These pop ups don't work as they are supposed to, they are a complete annoyance to the viewing experience! REMOVE THEM from the software or give us the ability to DISABLE THEM COMPLETELY ourselves! NOW!!! Stop ignoring the issue, show your customers you actually care about their Roku experience for once!

    Roku Remote Universal Feedback

On a Samsung Smart TV we can use a universal remote to control the Spectrum TV app why don’t you guys add support for Universal remotes because with a Universal remote we could control our Spectrum TV just like we would if we were using a cable box remote only instead of a cable box it would work threw the Spectrum TV App so if we type in a channel number it would go to the station if we click guide on the universal remote it would load the Spectrum TV guide it makes it easier because we don’t need to scroll threw all the channels to find a channel we want we can just type in the channel number you could even make a Roku remote that was compatible with Spectrum TV if you didn’t want to add support for universal remotes

Roku Voice Remote Pro (2nd edition) feature

I was very interested in the new Roku Voice Remote Pro (2nd edition) until I looked closer. You added the backlit and USB-C, but, and here is the deal killer, you took away one of the customizable quick launch buttons and gave us the Guide or Live TV button. That was a step backwards. Now, if that Guide button is actually a customizable quick launch button in disguise then please let me know. I want the same buttons as the 1st edition Pro remote but with backlit and USB-C. Hopefully, one day, you will release a backlit remote, USB-C rechargable and 4 customizable quick launch. I get that you have preprogrammed ones to help keep the pricing down but you took away a valuable button. Hopefully the 3rd edition will hit it out of the park.

Roku TV remote not working and the chat support complaint

I just spent 25 minutes chatting with "Sai" about my dead Roku remote. I answered all of his questions and sent him a picture of it. Remote emitting a rfid frequency or microwave

Has anyone gotten a diagnosis of bone cysts forming on their hand from using/holding these worthless, new rechargeable remotes roku has now? I noticed my hand feeling like it's being microwaved after using this remote and now it's gotten so bad that I had to go to urgent care to get x-rays done on my right hand which showed I have cysts forming on my scaphoid bone!!

Latest update causing the remote lose its charge

Roku ultra 4K I've been watching the Olympics on the Peacock channel and started noticing this issue that keeps on popping up on my screen alerted me about the remote control show the battery notification. I've charged it to 100%, but the message still appears on the screen and continues to display the message on the screen until the battery runs out on the remote. Currently my battery is showing 50%. I've noticed that the last update was 7/29/24 about the time that this all started. The other Roku ultra that I have in the bedroom is an older version and has a battery replacement remote and does not display this errors. Can you please take a look at the code for the Roku and find out if there's something that's causing the unit to call the remote? It's very frustrating when you're watching TV with this notification that keeps on popping up.
