My daughter purchased a used Roku streaming device from another person and we can't get it to connect to her sky wi-fi, and signal strength is excellent, any help welcome please.

@Emily1957- Did you get the required remote along with the Roku unit?

Re: Trying to connect streaming device to WiFi, no luck and signal is excellent.
It's not working know, so there's nothing to lose via a factory reset to start setting up all over again. Press and hold the reset button on the Roku (on some models this is under a small pinhole where you'd need to insert the end of a paperclip or something similar) for at least 30 seconds to start the reset.
A functional remote is essential for initial setup. With a purchase from another individual, there's always the possibility that the remote is not the correct one for your Roku model, or that the remote is defective.
What model Roku is it? Does the remote have a key with a microphone picture on it?
