Hello, this might be an old subject, but I had to write. I have a 3-month-old Roku brand TV. It was working perfectly until 7–10 days ago. Now it's lagging & buffering. Apps will buffer, and when I use the live & Roku TV option, the channel will say what's on, but I have to wait 5–10 seconds more for the picture to show up.
Now I tried everything from resets to secret menus, resetting my wireless, checking my wireless connection. Everything mentioned in tips & tricks from the Roku site to YouTube. Nothing worked.
Today, I asked my downstairs neighbor who has an older Roku stick, and he said he's having the exact same problem, so I'm not crazy. Some recent Roku update must be the culprit, and I'd like to know first if they even know about it, and second, when they plan on fixing this? Thanks in advance for any replies and/or info.

Hello, The 5-10 second delays happen with Roku channels, when I'm changing them. The apps like Tubi & Pluto buffer before showing the main menu.

I've done most of the & none of them work. I still think it's an update glitch on Roku's end, because, as I've stated before, my neighbor has the exact same problems & we do not share wifi.
It is a Roku problem for sure. It has been happening for me with Amazon prime for Thursday night football and some channels on YouTube tv. I can switch to the yttv app on my Sony tv (which the Roku is plugged into) and all is fine. For now I’m just using the apps directly on the tv as I wait for Roku to fix this. My WiFi is fine. If we don’t get a fix I’ll move on from Roku to something else. Disappointing…
Same issue here for MONTHS!!!! Roku Ultra 2022, Ethernet connected...Watch Youtube TV 99% of time. We get a lot of 'buffering', when watching something that has been 'paused', sometimes it just sits there and I have to go out of program to another channel (and that channel works) or I have to get out of the Youtube Tv app all together and start over. it's Very frustrating....
Just tried an 'older' unused Roku Ultra Lt bought in ~2022... does the same exact thing.... When comcast is 'working' it still does it...
Ready to try my old Amazon Stick or chromecast....
As other users have stated, this is a real problem. I have Roku, Fire, and Apple TV devices on the same network. My Roku TVs just arrived out of storage, so they haven't been connected to the internet or used for months. Both are well-packed. They started just fine. The 40" Hisense model has slowed down to the point of unresponsive. The TCL model isn't so bad.
Performed the Factory Reset. The update applied, and the apps reloaded. The device started to slow down.
Unhappy since I was so careful with it.
I've tried ALL the recommended Roku lagging "fixes" and nothing works. At all. My streambar was malfunctioning so I had to disconnect it. No lagging sound without the streambar and MUCH better overall performance from my 65" Panasonic Viera plasma TV functions, which by the way is almost 15 years old, is on 24/7 and is THE BEST TV I've ever owned. I miss the subwoofer which never worked well on a consistent basis until recently when I used my Roku PRO voice remote to simply say " increase Roku subwoofer volume". It was like a "miracle" fix. But now I'm **bleep** outta luck for the time being. Has Roku made any improvements to the newer Roku streambar models? Would it be a waste of $$ to "upgrade" to a newer Roku streambar??
Every time I stream an app it says pouring in connection but that's not the case I have excellent connection could it be rokul Express acting up please let me know
