do you use Xfinity? Xfinity did an update in my area last night and I am having problems with my devices.
so far my Roku Ultra, a Windows 7 computer and Chamberlain MyQ Internet Gateway are not connecting.
Edit: I had to wait until after the evening shows, but restarting the Xfinity gateway fixed my problems.
@Blackstargazer I had this EXACT issue last year (I too, have the Stick+ 3810). It went on for a couple of months until I replaced the WiFi extender cable ($20). I have remained connected since.
HOWEVER, because of the age of the Stick+ (and the problems I'm currently experiencing), I recommend you replace it with the 4K Stick.
If the WiFi receiver cable for the 3810 has gone bad your Roku will not be able to connect to your home network (required to access the internet) nor communicate with its remote.
Unfortunately the replacement wifi receiver cable for this model is no longer stocked by Roku, and the wifi receiver cable for later models is not compatible with your Roku.
Paging @moderator to assist you get a replacement Roku offer.
Yeah I just went and bought a new one and upgraded to an ultra. Its is definitely a,wifi issue. I have had the new one for 3 days and this morning it went to a Screensaver of fish, which I didn't set it to and I couldn't get it back to the home screen. The tv gave a message of no signal and after a few minutes of nothing on it it went into auto shut down and turned off. I haven't been able yet to see if it will work now. But when I get back home later tonight I will try it and give an update.
@Blackstargazer I don't know your ISP equipment setup, but I'll tell you what I've done in the past... I unplugged the Roku's power first, then
I hope my above experiences helps you and anyone else having the same issues. If it does, please let us know.
