Roku keeps dropping internet connection, then if can’t find my network.

Jump to solution

My Roku just start dropping connection every 5-10min. It was working fine, but when I manually go to search to reconnect to my network it can not find it. I have to reset my Roku in order for it to find and connect to my network. None of my other devices are experiencing this issue. When it does connect it says my single is excellent! And my Roku stick is almost right next to my router.

Hi @Kmj123,

Thanks for posting here in the Roku Community.

In addition to @vyela's recommendation on how to fix a network issue, we just want to add a recommendation by trying to connect to an alternative network such as a mobile hotspot, to see if you're able to maintain a connection. Also, try unplugging your Roku streaming device from its power source as well as the router/modem for a minute, then plug it in again. Once booted up, try connecting directly to your home network and observe if its able to maintain its connection.

Please let us know how it goes.

All the best,
Kash
