Roku Stick not responding

I have a Roku stick that I've used for a while without issue.  I disconnected the device from my tv to take with me on a trip, and when I reconnected it, the device boots up and displays my home screen, but it will not respond to the remote and it does not show up as a device on my network on the roku app on my phone. 

I have rebooted it several times and changed the batteries in my remote but nothing has fixed it.  The time displayed on the home screen is correct, so I assume the device is connecting to the network, but there is no repsonse to either the remote that came with the device nor with the remote on the app and like I  mentioned the device does not appear in the list of connected devices on my network when I use the app.

Any help is appreciated.

You may just have to pair the remote again.  It is strange that the time would be correct since it has to be connected to get the correct time.
