I have replaced an infrared Roku device with the 4k stick because it needs to be invisible behind the TV (WIFI connectivity). The instructions say that once everything is plugged in, the remote pairing will automatically happen. That isn’t true. The instructions don’t point to it, nor do they mention it, but the pairing button is under the battery cover and must be pressed. A stupid oversight on Roku’s part, probably a function of just using the same startup guide rather than making sure it is accurate for the device being installed. Annoying.
