@turnemt, only Roku TVs support updating via USB.

i did the system restart then the update and that still hasn't enabled me to receive the update due to 004 error, I'm used my network hotspot from my phone.  Why doesn't Roku offer a 50% discount on a new roku device so we can move on from this issue?

@nothappyuser Roku does offer discounts...they are called sales.  You can usually find a good deal around Cyber Monday.

Please provide the following information.

  • Does the error code 004 appear only when you're trying to update your system version?
  • What is the current software version of your Roku device?
  • Have you tried connecting to your mobile hotspot? If so, did that work?

error code 004, software version 14.0, and yes I've tried from different hotspots and it did not update.  I've also done a system restart from the roku device but that did not fix the issue with it not taking the update.  All I ask is a discount on a new product.
