How to get WiFi without Roku remote control

Jump to solution

I have a Roku 3 and I have been operating it with my iPhone for several months. I just recently updated my router/ modem hardware and along with that my WiFi password. How do I get my Roku connected back to my WiFi? Should I do a system reset?

Thanks for any response!

If you factory reset it, you will absolutely need a physical remote to do anything.  If you can configure your new Wi-Fi to match you old (same SSID/network name and password), your Roku device should connect and you can go back to using the app.  It's also possible to use a phone as a hotspot that's configured the same as your old Wi-Fi and the Roku device should connect to it and then you can use the app on another device (like another phone or tablet) connected to the same hotspot to get it connected to the new Wi-Fi.  The easiest thing to do may be to get a cheap universal remote that supports Roku devices.
