@Maxboy2023, what's the model number of your Roku device written on it or displayed under Settings->System->About?

Edit:  I see from your other post (there's no need to post in two different threads) that your model number is 3920.  It will only connect to 2.4GHz networks with the wireless mode set to b/g/n.

Same. Spending time reseting , doing passwords over and over, resetting and restarting routers. I’ve always been a Roku user, think I’ll give a competitor a try.

Welcome @Cwc500,

Thanks for sharing the troubleshooting steps you've already tried! Just make sure you've got the right name for your wireless network and that the password is typed correctly. Keep in mind that passwords are case-sensitive, so double-check for any mistakes.
Still, having trouble? Keep us posted!

Thanks,

@Cwc500

What is the model number of your router?

With many users upgrading to wifi6(ax) routers, or being upgraded to them by their ISP, you may need to go into the router settings and verify that WPA2-Personal/PSK is enabled under the Security Settings (wifi password).

Many of these wifi6 routers may have WPA3-only enabled by default, so need to include/enable WPA2 as well so that Roku devices can connect to them. (need to enable WPA2 on both the 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands).

The only Roku devices currently available that can connect to WPA3 and the AX protocol are the Roku Ultra 4850 and the Pro/Plus series of the Roku-branded RokuTVs.  For all other models and RokuTVs, these will need to use b/g/n/ac wireless protocols and WPA2 security protocol, so need to make sure these are enabled and made available in a wifi6 router.

On some older 2.4ghz-only devices, sometimes removing any special characters from the password will resolve the 14.40 error as well. (try using numbers and letters only for troubleshooting).
