Had to re set tv because remote was working and now can’t get tv to connect to wifi

I have the remote that is very basic no voice command or pairing button. I changed the batteries and still nothing. I reset the tv and then downloaded the Roku app to use that as remote but now that the tv has been reset I cannot get it to connect to WiFi without some way to get to Home Screen. It is a TCL Roku tv. Any help ?

@Brae44

Unfortunately, you need a working physical Roku remote to complete setup/activation of a Roku device or RokuTV when it is new or has been Factory Reset.

You can buy a cheap universal streaming remote that is compatible with RokuTV from Walmart, Target, Best Buy etc. if you need to get up and running quickly. (some of the universal remotes are compatible with "rokutv" and others are compatible with "roku players".  You will need one compatible with RokuTV).

Otherwise, you can order a replacement Roku remote from the Roku website.  You can order either an IR one for your RokuTV or upgrade to one of the Voice Remotes.
