HDMI channel won’t re-open once left

Setting up a new ROKU and ran into an odd issue - I cannot change the input back to HDMI. I set the TV to power on to HDMI, so I can access it that way. However, if I go to the ROKU Home Screen I cannot go back to HDMI channel. The screen still displays my PlayStation and whatever is on that screen, but when I press “ok” nothing happens. No problems opening other apps, just this. It’s making me feel dumb and crazy so hopefully somebody has an idea!

Greeting @Dz3r8y

Thanks for your first post.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble switching back to the HDMI input on your TV after using your new Roku device. It sounds like an unusual issue, but let's see if we can figure out what's causing it and how to resolve it.

Firstly, I would suggest trying some basic troubleshooting steps to rule out any simple problems. Have you tried turning off both your TV and your Roku device, you can unplug them from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then turn them back on. Sometimes, a power cycle can reset the devices and fix any glitches.

Also, make sure that the HDMI cable between your TV and your Roku is securely connected at both ends and not damaged or loose. If you have multiple HDMI ports on your TV, you can try switching to a different one and seeing if that works.

Please keep us posted on how it goes.

Regards,
Nimfa
