I've come to the conclusion that it's a software issue. It's not your cable. Some kind of compatibility thing with some TVs. My only bandaid was to plug my Roku Soundbar into a Wyze plug and either schedule the recycle of it or power it off/on remotely from my phone every time I want to watch TV. It's a timing thing too. If the TV is powered on after the Roku is already power cycled, then it still wont work. The TV has to be ON already and waiting for HDMI input signal, then recycle the Roku - then it works. So its a software/communication/compatibility issue. Roku needs to patch it.
