Since getting Quantum Fiber WiFi 7, several apps on my Roku Premiere will not load.
Try going into your router settings and verifying that both IPv4 and IPv6 are enabled. It is possible some apps are using IPv4 and if your router is set to IPv6-only, are unable to translate the addresses.
Just note that while Roku devices are not currently wifi7(be) or wifi6(ax) compatible, both of these are backwards compatible with wifi5(ac) and since some apps are working correctly, appears most of your router settings are likely configured correctly. (ie. Roku device is connecting to network and accessing internet).
I find that Quantum's WiFi 7 doesn't have the same range as their WiFi 6 equipment did. It's very FAST, but over a shorter range.
The way I got around this was to connect my own WiFi router to the WiFi 7 pod and set up a 2nd network in the 2.4ghz and 5ghz range, then added a range extender at the other end of the house.
So for Roku service, I connect to the WiFi extender, which connects wirelessly back to MY WiFi router, which has a wired connection to the WiFi 7 pod.
Contacting Quantum to get an ADDITIONAL WiFi 7 pod to cover the rest of the house was pointless, all they could do is replace the existing pod, which isn't the problem.
Good info on the Quantum Fiber. Thanks for posting your experience with it and setup. 👍
Sometimes you can take an old router and place it into "Repeater" mode which will help it to amplify the wifi signal of the first router. (just in case you run into connection issues in the future with your setup and new access point).
An old router can still serve many purposes after an upgrade to a newer setup or switching to new ISP.
